Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi is a Nigerian politician from Oyo State, south-western Nigeria. He was formerly the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company a subsidiary of Shell Petroleum, Nigeria Before he became the governor of Oyo State.

The ex-governor died today in Lagos, due to underlying health conditions worsened by the Coronavirus.

Senator Ajimobi, had remained COVID-19 positive two weeks after being admitted at the First Cardiologist and Cardiovascular Consultants Hospital, Lagos.

Ajimobi who governed Oyo State for eight years, was recently appointed as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress by the National Working Committee of the party.

He was appointed by Adams Oshiomhole as the Deputy National Chairman (South-West) of APC.

In 1980, he married his wife Ajumobi Florence and they have five children together.
